First and foremost, we ask “Why.” We challenge ideas and do our best to use the scientific method to prove or disprove current, conventional, cutting edge, or traditional ways of thinking.

Military leadership is hard. The New Deck Plate is not the place for “feel good” slogans and catchphrases passed off as advice. We hold each other accountable for providing solid, practical, actionable advice. Ideas founded on good research are preferred, but anecdotal or pseudoscience-based ideas that are solid, practical, and actionable are welcome.
